Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu launched 3 lakh houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin 2.0) and a 3D concrete printing housing project in Guntur.

Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and Rural Development, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, gifted Andhra Pradesh 3 lakh permanent houses costing ₹3,600 crore during a ceremony held in Burripalem village of Guntur district. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu was also present on the occasion. During the event, the Union Minister laid the foundation stone for a pilot project of 177 houses constructed using the country's first 3D concrete printing technology, with a cost of ₹14 crore.
Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan stated that instead of the 76,000 housing quota initially determined by the ministry, the state has been granted 3 lakh permanent houses in the first installment following the request of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and the blessings of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He assured that after the completion of the first phase, another 6 lakh houses will be sanctioned to ensure that 100 percent of the state's poor have permanent housing.
Providing details on the 3D concrete printing technology, Mr. Chouhan said that this project, starting in Burripalem and Obulanayudupalem, will save time, cost, and labor. Using this advanced technology, houses will be completed in just 6 months and will be stronger and more durable than traditional houses.
The Union Minister mentioned other development works in the state, noting that Prime Minister Modi has released special assistance of ₹15,000 crore by granting Amaravati the status of Andhra Pradesh's sole permanent capital. Additionally, the Polavaram project is being completed with a 100 percent grant from the Central Government, and the Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport will enhance the state's connectivity.
Speaking on the empowerment of farmers and women, he mentioned that Chief Minister Naidu has added ₹14,000 under 'Annadata Sukhi Bhava' to the ₹6,000 provided via PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi, bringing the annual assistance to farmers to ₹20,000. Furthermore, the target for the number of 'Lakhpati Didis' in the state has been increased from 23 lakh to 60 lakh. Mr. Chouhan also announced that for the first time outside Delhi, the National 'Saras Mela' will be organized in Andhra Pradesh on October 15, which will be inaugurated by President Droupadi Murmu.
Expressing his gratitude to the Union Minister, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said that Shivraj Singh Chouhan has won the hearts of the people of Andhra by approving 3 lakh houses instead of 75,000 upon his request. He expressed confidence that under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi and the support of the Centre, Andhra Pradesh will become the number one state in the country in terms of infrastructure, agriculture, and modern technology.
