Chhattisgarh: Tadoki-Rawghat Section of Dallirajhara-Rawghat Rail Project Completed, CRS Inspection Concluded

Indian Railways has achieved a significant milestone in the Dallirajhara-Rawghat new rail line project under the Raipur Division of the South East Central Railway in Chhattisgarh. Work on the final section of this project, the Tadoki-Rawghat stretch, has been completed. This is a single-line electrified broad gauge section.

As part of the process to commission this rail section, an inspection and speed trial were conducted by the Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS). During this inspection, the rail line, bridges, culverts, electrification, signaling, and other safety and technical arrangements were thoroughly examined. Additionally, the operational capacity and safety of the rail section were tested according to prescribed standards.

The Tadoki-Rawghat section, which is 17.5 kilometers long, is part of the total 95-kilometer Dallirajhara-Rawghat new rail line project located in a remote area of southern Chhattisgarh. Rail services are already available from Dallirajhara to Tadoki. With the commencement of the Tadoki-Rawghat section, citizens of this region will now have better and more convenient transportation options.

This new rail line will facilitate the transport of iron ore to the Bhilai Steel Plant, thereby boosting the growth of the country's steel industry. Furthermore, the line will be instrumental in the transport of local agricultural products and commercial goods.

Through this project, the connectivity of remote rural areas with the state capital, Raipur, and the major educational hub, Bhilai, will be strengthened. This will improve local residents' access to education, healthcare, employment, and trade. Additionally, the expansion of rail transport is expected to accelerate tourism, investment, and other economic activities in the region, leading to overall social and economic development.
