Union Minister Jyotiraditya M. Scindia has initiated Special Campaign 6 with a commitment to plantation and resolving pending public grievances.

Union Minister for Communications and Development of North Eastern Region, Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, launched the implementation phase of 'Special Campaign 6' on the occasion of the conclusion of the 'Swachhata Hi Seva-2026' campaign. The launch was marked by a commitment to plantation and the resolution of pending public issues and other related matters.
The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) is actively participating in this campaign. During the identification phase of the campaign, which continued until September 30, 2026, the department set specific targets for the disposal of MP references, state government references, public grievances (PG), public grievance appeals, and parliamentary assurances.
The department has set a goal to review or weed out a total of 12,513 physical files. Additionally, targets have been established to resolve 55 VIP references, 2,270 public grievances, and 640 public grievance appeals. To address these pending cases, the department has identified more than 450 campaign sites across its institutions, field offices, and Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) throughout India.
The implementation phase of this campaign will run from October 2, 2026, to October 31, 2026. During this period, the department, its PSUs, attached offices, autonomous bodies, and field offices have identified scrap and e-waste. The objective is to free up office space, generate revenue, and promote a clean, safe, and productive workplace for employees. The Department of Telecommunications remains dedicated to making a meaningful contribution to the overall vision of this initiative and ensuring impactful results.
