Mission Karmayogi: 'Sadhana Series 2026' Launched to Transform Training Institutes into Capacity Building Centers

The Capacity Building Commission (CBC), under the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, is organizing the 'Sadhana' (Strengthening Adaptive Development and Human Aptitude for National Advancement) Series 2026. This initiative consists of a nationwide series of regional consultative dialogues intended to transform training institutes into strategic and efficiency-driven capacity building institutions under the Mission Karmayogi framework.

The foundation of the Sadhana Series includes consultations from regional task forces held between April 2 and 8, 2026, 'Sadhana Week 2026', and a National Departmental Summit scheduled for May 15, 2026. As part of this initiative, one-and-a-half-day regional workshops will be conducted across four major cities in the country. These programs will see participation from senior officials of relevant states and union territories, heads of training institutes, faculty members, representatives from Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), industry partners, subject matter experts, and startup representatives.

The schedule for the workshops is as follows: - Southern Region: September 29–30, 2026, Vijayawada (Andhra Pradesh) - North-Eastern Region: October 9–10, 2026, Guwahati (Assam) - Northern Region: October 23–24, 2026, Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) - Western Region: November 16–17, 2026, Pune (Maharashtra) (Dates subject to confirmation).

These workshops will be attended by the Chief Ministers of the host states and Dr. Jitendra Singh, the Union Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions. The inaugural program in Vijayawada will be attended by the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu, and Dr. Jitendra Singh. Representatives from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Puducherry will participate in this session.

The primary objective of this initiative is to involve states and stakeholders in the process of transitioning training institutes into capacity building institutions. This transformation will be based on Capacity Building Plans (CBP) to ensure that necessary capacity development is provided for the right role at the right time. Key points of deliberation will focus on institutional governance, leadership, operational effectiveness, the quality of training in alignment with the Karmayogi Quality Framework (KQF), faculty development, and the adoption of digital technologies.

The entire process will be managed through the 'New-Age National Training Initiative' (UNNATI) portal. The UNNATI portal will promote data-driven improvements and collaboration by connecting more than 900 training institutes on a single platform. Additionally, the 'UNNATI Exchange' (U-Exchange) will allow for the sharing of training courses, infrastructure, and faculty members.

Through this initiative, government personnel at all levels—from ASHA workers to Secretaries—will be equipped with the necessary competencies to ensure effective outcomes for citizens, aligned with the goal of 'Viksit Bharat @2047'.
