MoSPI and First India Foundation Sign MoU to Boost Data Analysis and Research
The National Statistical Office of MoSPI has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the First India Foundation to enhance cooperation in official statistics, research, and data analysis.

The National Statistical Office (NSO) of the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the New Delhi-based First India Foundation (PIF) to strengthen mutual cooperation in the fields of official statistics, research, data analysis, capacity building, and the exchange of knowledge.
The primary objective of this agreement is to establish a comprehensive framework for collaboration between MoSPI and the First India Foundation in areas of mutual interest. Under this framework, focus will be placed on activities such as research, data analysis, capacity development, and knowledge sharing. According to the agreement, specific collaborative activities will be carried out based on the priorities of the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation.
The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Saurabh Garg, Secretary of MoSPI; Mr. P.R. Meshram, Director General of MoSPI; Dr. Rajiv Kumar, Chairman of the First India Foundation; and Mr. Ashish Kumar, Chief Statistician of the Foundation. The agreement was signed by Ms. Sunitha Bhaskar, Additional Director General of MoSPI, and Mr. Ravi Pokharna, Executive Director of the First India Foundation. Senior officials from the ministry and representatives from the foundation were also present on the occasion.
