NLMC Board Meeting: Proposals for Monetization of Assets Worth Over ₹5,000 Crore Recommended
The National Land Monetization Corporation (NLMC) recommended the monetization of surplus assets exceeding ₹5,000 crore and approved the financial details for the 2025-26 fiscal year during its 21st board meeting.

The 21st meeting of the Board of Directors of the National Land Monetization Corporation (NLMC) was held on September 18, 2026. The primary objective of the meeting was to review the corporation's ongoing asset monetization program, financial performance, and key institutional initiatives.
During the meeting, the Board considered and recommended monetization proposals concerning assets valued at more than ₹5,000 crore. These proposals include identified surplus land and building properties. This step is significant toward achieving the government's goals of unlocking the actual value of underutilized and surplus assets.
The Board reviewed the progress made by NLMC in the monetization of surplus assets belonging to Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) and other government entities. The corporation is facilitating the process of identification, due diligence, and valuation of suitable assets in coordination with the owning entities to ensure maximum value is achieved with transparency and efficiency.
During the discussions, emphasis was placed on accelerating the monetization process and meeting implementation requirements. The Board appreciated the progress made so far and directed the maintenance of better coordination with stakeholder entities to ensure the timely monetization of surplus assets.
Additionally, the Board granted its approval for NLMC's annual financial statements and the Directors' report for the financial year 2025-26. Initiatives aimed at strengthening the corporation's operational capabilities and creating a systematic framework for asset management were also reviewed.
