PM Mementos E-Auction 2026: 37 Rare Items of Rajasthan's Royal Heritage and Folk Art to be Displayed

The eighth edition of the 'PM Mementos E-Auction 2026', organized by the Ministry of Culture, is showcasing a special collection reflecting the rich cultural heritage, art, and traditions of Rajasthan. This collection includes a total of 37 commemorative items that represent the state's folk deities, traditional paintings, textiles, architecture, and sporting achievements.

Among the highlights of the collection is a procession of elephants, including a royal howdah and an Ambabari elephant crafted from wood with traditional patterns. Additionally, silver mementos and silver-plated idols of Veer Tejaji Maharaj, depicting him mounted on a horse with a spear, are part of the exhibition.

In terms of artistic expression, the collection includes Shrinathji Pichwai paintings from Nathdwara, Phad paintings of Lakshmi-Narayan, and Pattachitra-style artworks depicting the Raasleela of Krishna. To showcase cultural diversity, a hand-painted artwork and a framed photograph of the Ajmer Sharif Dargah have also been included, highlighting the architecture of the shrine and its tradition of welcoming all faiths.

Representing textile traditions, the exhibition features turbans adorned with stone and feather brooches, multi-colored yellow turbans, and angavastrams with gota borders. The collection also offers glimpses of revered sites through paintings, including Kaila Mata of Karauli, Sundha Mata, Khema Baba of Baytu, the Brahma Temple in Pushkar, Shri Kalyan Raiji Maharaj, and the Mangarh Dham of Banswara.

Furthermore, the collection includes historical and contemporary mementos, such as framed newspaper editions related to the Pran Pratishtha of the Ayodhya Ram Temple and a decorative plate issued by the BJP Rajasthan.
