PM Modi Distributes Appointment Letters to Over 51,000 Youth at 20th Rozgar Mela

Prime Minister Narendra Modi organized the 20th Rozgar Mela via video conferencing, during which he distributed appointment letters to more than 51,000 youth recruited into various government organizations. Describing it as a moment of joy for thousands of families, the Prime Minister stated that this achievement is the result of the candidates' hard work and the sacrifices of their parents.

The Prime Minister emphasized that India is moving toward becoming a developed nation by the year 2047, and the role of the youth will be crucial in achieving the goal of a self-reliant India. He noted that the talent and skills of Indian youth have won trust on a global level, and the world now holds high expectations from Indian innovators and entrepreneurs.

Discussing international cooperation, the Prime Minister mentioned initiatives such as BRICS Connect and the BRICS MSME Cooperation Portal, which aim to connect entrepreneurs, farmers, women, and youth with global partnerships. He stated that free trade agreements signed with approximately 40 countries are opening new career opportunities and new markets for domestic entrepreneurs.

Regarding skill development, Mr. Modi referred to initiatives like the National Education Policy, the Skill India Mission, and the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana. Providing details on the PM-SETU scheme, he explained that one thousand government ITIs are being modernized with an investment of 60,000 crore rupees.

The Prime Minister highlighted that India is now the world's third-largest startup ecosystem, noting that nearly half of the recognized startups are located in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities. To increase employment in the private sector, he mentioned the 'Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana', a one lakh crore rupee initiative. This scheme aims to integrate two crore youth into the formal workforce, providing an incentive of up to 15,000 rupees to first-time employees.

Speaking on economic progress, he underlined the country's 7.8 percent growth rate and a 12 percent increase in investment during the first quarter. He instructed the new officers to maintain the pace of administrative reforms, simplify tax compliance, and serve the public with the spirit of 'Nagrik Devo Bhav'. Additionally, he encouraged the new employees to continuously update their skills through 'Mission Karmayogi' and the iGOT platform.
