President Droupadi Murmu Inaugurates 'Global Spiritual Palace' in Vadodara, Emphasizes Spiritual Awakening

President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, launched the 'Spiritual Awakening for World Renewal' program organized by Brahma Kumaris in Vadodara, Gujarat, on September 23, 2026. On this occasion, she also inaugurated the 'Global Spiritual Palace' retreat center. Additionally, the President virtually launched the 'Youth for Developed India: Awakening Inner Strength for Nation Building' program hosted by Brahma Kumaris in Nadiad, Gujarat.

Addressing the gathering, the President stated that in the current era, economic development alone is not sufficient; there is also a critical need for human development. She emphasized the necessity for education that does not only develop the intellect but also awakens the conscience. According to the President, progress should be characterized by sensitivity toward nature, and power should be something that teaches self-control rather than control over others. She stressed the importance of a spirituality that connects human beings to one another.

President Murmu praised the efforts of the Brahma Kumaris organization in spreading the message of personal transformation and world renewal globally through meditation and spiritual knowledge. She noted that when an individual believes that life can be changed by transforming thoughts and actions, they become a medium for positive change in society. She expressed confidence that the 'Global Spiritual Palace' would serve as a center for connecting people from various sections of society through peace and harmony.

Referring to the program initiated for youth in Nadiad, the President remarked that when young people give a positive direction to their thoughts and actions, the impact extends to the family, the community, and ultimately the entire nation. She described the 'awakening of inner strength' as a profound process of nation-building and called it a collective responsibility to make youth self-reliant, peaceful, and responsible.

In her concluding remarks, the President stated that self-transformation is the foundation of social transformation. She set the goal that India should develop as a nation that is economically prosperous, scientifically advanced, socially inclusive, and spiritually awakened.
