Three-Week Defense Correspondents Training Course Concludes in Tezpur
A specialized training program for 24 journalists concluded in Tezpur, providing insights into the functioning of the three armed forces and the responsibilities of defense reporting.

A defense correspondents course organized for 24 journalists has concluded in Tezpur. During this three-week training program, participants completed various phases of training related to the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force.
Through the course, journalists were provided with detailed information regarding the roles, capabilities, and operational procedures of the three services. Participants gained an understanding of the workings of the defense forces and the responsibilities associated with reporting defense news through various information sessions, field visits, and direct interactions with military personnel.
The objective of this dialogue was to strengthen the mutual understanding between the defense forces and the media. During the program, it was emphasized that both parties are committed to increasing public awareness while remaining fully mindful of the sensitivity of military operations and aspects related to national security.
The closing ceremony was presided over by Lieutenant General Neeraj Shukla, General Officer Commanding of the Gajraj Corps. Also present on the occasion were Mr. Vijay Kumar, Additional Director General (Media and Communication) of the Ministry of Defence, and officials from the Directorate of Public Relations.
