Central Government Committed to Equitable Development Across All States and Regions: Rajiv Ranjan Singh

A special dialogue program was organized at the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) auditorium in Anand, Gujarat, under the joint auspices of the Union Ministry of Panchayati Raj and the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying. The event was attended by beneficiaries of the 'SVAMITVA' scheme and various fisheries schemes, with Union Minister for Panchayati Raj and Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Shri Rajiv Ranjan Singh, attending as the chief guest. Professor S.P. Singh Baghel, Minister of State for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, participated as a special guest.

Addressing the gathering, Union Minister Shri Rajiv Ranjan Singh stated that the central government is committed to the equitable development of all states and regions of the country. He emphasized that the Prime Minister's primary objective is to make India self-reliant by uniting all states without any political discrimination. He further mentioned the resolve to transform India into a 'Developed India' by the year 2047 under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Discussing rural development, Mr. Singh explained that through the 'SVAMITVA Scheme', drone surveys are being conducted to provide villagers with documentary evidence of their property in the form of ownership cards. He informed that more than 3 crore SVAMITVA cards have been distributed across the country so far, making it easier for villagers to obtain loans from banks and protecting them from exploitation by moneylenders. He also noted that the second phase of this scheme is in its final stages across the country, including in Gujarat.

Speaking on the fisheries sector, the Union Minister noted that the livelihoods of approximately 6 crore people in the country are linked to this sector. He highlighted significant initiatives since 2014, such as the 'Blue Revolution', the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PM MSY), and the creation of a dedicated ministry. He stated that efforts are being made to give new momentum to the sector through Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) and deep-sea fishing policies.

On this occasion, Union Minister of State Professor S.P. Singh Baghel remarked that the 25 years of Prime Minister Modi's public life have been a golden era of development and change for the country. He discussed the improvements in the lives of millions of citizens through schemes such as Ayushman cards, MUDRA Yojana, PM-KISAN, electricity, and housing. He added that the SVAMITVA scheme and the Blue Revolution have brought significant changes to the economic and social structure of rural India.

During the program, property cards were distributed to the beneficiaries, and direct discussions were held regarding the benefits of government schemes. The event was attended by Dr. Minesh Shah, Chairman of the National Dairy Development Board, Amit Agarwal, Joint Secretary of the Panchayati Raj Department, Director Dharmendra, District Development Officer Ms. Devahuti, and other officials from the district administration.
