Department of Expenditure Prepares for 'Special Campaign 6.0' to Boost Administrative Efficiency and Cleanliness
The Department of Expenditure under the Ministry of Finance is set to launch Special Campaign 6.0 to institutionalize cleanliness and expedite the disposal of pending cases.

The Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance, is fully prepared to implement 'Special Campaign 6.0' with the objective of institutionalizing cleanliness and ensuring the disposal of pending cases. Necessary instructions have already been issued to all concerned departments and administrative control organizations for this campaign.
The campaign will be conducted in two structured phases. The first 'Preparatory Phase' will run from September 15 to September 30, 2026, followed by the 'Implementation Phase' from October 2 to October 31, 2026. During the preparatory phase, all sections of the department and organizations under its administrative control have been sensitized to set targets related to cleanliness, space management, waste disposal, record management, and the settlement of pending cases. This planned approach aims to ensure systematic and result-oriented action during the implementation phase.
Organizations included within the scope of this campaign are the Controller General of Accounts, Chief Controller of Cost, Central Pension Accounting Office, and the Arun Jaitley National Institute of Financial Management.
It is noteworthy that the Department of Expenditure and its associated organizations actively participated in 'Special Campaign 5.0', which took place from October 2 to October 31, 2025, leading to a reduction in pending cases and the promotion of a culture of cleanliness. The progress of the campaign continued even after its conclusion. Between December 2025 and August 2026, the department made significant progress in disposing of pending cases, with the details as follows:
