The Indian Navy's frontline guided-missile stealth destroyer, 'INS Trishul', arrived in Valencia, Spain, on September 30, 2026, during its deployment in the Mediterranean Sea, the Atlantic, and adjacent maritime regions. This port visit is part of the Indian Navy's ongoing maritime engagement efforts with friendly nations and allied navies.
During its stay at the Port of Valencia, INS Trishul will engage in professional interactions and cross-deck visits with the Spanish Navy. Additionally, sports and cultural activities will be organized to strengthen mutual understanding between the two navies. These activities will provide an opportunity for the navies of both countries to share their operational experiences.
During its current deployment, INS Trishul previously participated in the 24th edition of 'Exercise Varuna' with the French Navy in Toulon. Various professional activities were conducted during both the harbor and sea phases of this exercise.
According to the Indian Navy, this deployment reflects its commitment to operational readiness, maritime engagement, and international outreach, aimed at promoting a secure and stable maritime environment.
