Life Transformed Through Rehabilitation and Counseling: Rewa Youth Overcomes Unemployment and Health Issues to Find Job
A 22-year-old youth from Madhya Pradesh's Rewa district has achieved self-reliance by overcoming physical and mental health challenges with the help of an integrated rehabilitation center.
Uday (name changed), a 22-year-old youth from the Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh, has set an inspiring example of self-reliance by overcoming significant personal and economic hardships. Struggling with physical and mental health issues as well as unemployment, Uday received treatment and rehabilitation support through the Integrated Rehabilitation Center for Addicts (IRCA) operated by the Nivedita Kalyan Samiti.
After completing his education up to secondary school, Uday faced persistent unemployment. Family financial constraints, his father's occupation as a laborer, and the negative influence of peers had a detrimental impact on his personal and social life. A lack of self-confidence further created significant challenges in his search for employment.
Uday began receiving medical treatment and rehabilitation services at the center on April 29, 2025. He was provided with individual, group, and family counseling, which helped him navigate his family conflicts and personal struggles. Under the regular monitoring of doctors, his health improved and his aggression was brought under control through a combination of medication, yoga, and meditation sessions.
During the rehabilitation counseling, special focus was placed on developing a source of sustainable income. As a result of this continuous support, there was a positive shift in Uday's confidence and emotional state. Uday is currently employed at a private company. His journey demonstrates that through proper treatment, counseling, and rehabilitation support, young individuals can regain their confidence and move toward a stable and productive life.
