PM Modi Praises Active Participation of Youth in 'Nasha Mukt Yuva Abhiyan'
During the 138th episode of 'Mann Ki Baat,' Prime Minister Narendra Modi commended the creative dialogues and awareness efforts led by youth under the 'Nasha Mukt Yuva Abhiyan'.
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, in the 138th episode of his monthly radio program ‘Mann Ki Baat,’ highlighted the growing enthusiasm and participation of the country's youth in the ‘Nasha Mukt Yuva Abhiyan’ (Drug-Free Youth Campaign). The Prime Minister noted that millions of young people have taken a pledge to stay away from narcotics and are now assuming the responsibility of raising awareness among others.
The Prime Minister informed that the 'Nasha Mukt Yuva Abhiyan for Developed India' is a continuous campaign spanning 100 weeks. This initiative brings together ‘Mera Yuva Bharat’ (MY Bharat), volunteers from the National Service Scheme (NSS), schools, colleges, universities, and various social and spiritual organizations on a single platform. He stated that thousands of awareness programs and pledge ceremonies have been organized across the country under this initiative.
Emphasizing the importance of youth-led dialogues, the Prime Minister praised the ‘Message of Drug-Free Living’ initiative. He mentioned that young people are using their own languages and creative modes of expression to deliver anti-drug messages to their communities.
The Prime Minister also underlined that to encourage the youth, several competitions such as song-writing, slogan-writing, and street plays (nukkad-natak) have been organized through the ‘MY Bharat’ platform. Additionally, he praised the efforts to share creative content on social media via the #NashaMuktYuva hashtag, stating that the message, medium, and motivational energy of this campaign are being led by the youth themselves.
Regarding future plans, the Prime Minister mentioned that activities such as health check-ups and meditation camps will be organized in the coming days to promote holistic well-being and a healthy lifestyle among the youth. The primary objective of this campaign is to increase awareness, encourage community participation, and build a healthy, drug-free generation through a collective resolve against the consumption of narcotics.
