Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Inaugurate 10th Edition of India Mobile Congress on October 8
The IMC 2026, themed 'Expanding Beyond Boundaries' and hosted at Yashobhoomi in New Delhi, will see participation from over 100 countries.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 10th edition of the India Mobile Congress (IMC) at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi, on October 8, 2026, at approximately 10:00 AM. On this occasion, the Prime Minister will also address the gathered audience. This event, jointly organized by the Department of Telecommunications and the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI), will run from October 7 to October 10.
The theme for IMC 2026 is "Expanding Beyond Boundaries," showcasing India's growing capabilities in digital innovation, next-generation connectivity, and technology-driven growth. The event will be based on four key pillars: Srishti (Creating the Future), Samvardhan (Accelerating Growth), Sashakt (Expanding Opportunities), and Suraksha (Strengthening Trust). The event will primarily focus on innovation, next-generation digital infrastructure, technology-based economic growth, inclusive digital access, and the development of a secure and dynamic digital ecosystem.
This global event will bring together policymakers, industry experts, startups, investors, and innovators to discuss emerging opportunities within the digital ecosystem. The 2026 edition includes nine established key sectors: 5G and 6G, next-generation AI networks, semiconductors, non-terrestrial networks, cybersecurity, quantum communication, enterprise transformation, circular economy and ESG, and electronics manufacturing. Additionally, the scope of the event has been expanded to include four new areas: smart mobility, stadium experience, industrial robotics, and transport technology.
IMC 2026 is expected to attract more than 1.5 lakh participants from over 100 countries. It will feature over 500 partners and exhibitors, more than 600 startups, and over 900 thought leaders. During the program, more than 2,000 technology use cases and over 120 sessions will be organized.
