SECL Honors 75 Employees on Vishwakarma Jayanti and Prime Minister's Birthday

South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), a subsidiary of Coal India Limited, organized the 'Second SECL Vishwakarma Award Ceremony' at its headquarters in Bilaspur to mark the occasion of Vishwakarma Jayanti and the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During this special event, a total of 75 regular and contractual employees were honored for their exceptional contributions to mining, operations, maintenance, supervision, and other technical activities.

As part of the 'Swachhata Hi Seva – Special Campaign 6.0', the ceremony also recognized sanitation workers who played a pivotal role in maintaining cleanliness across various SECL centers. This initiative aimed to appreciate their efforts in keeping the workplace organized and emphasized the collective responsibility toward cleanliness.

The program commenced with the reading of a message from the Minister of Coal and Mines, Shri G. Kishan Reddy, in which he praised the hard work and dedication of coal workers in ensuring the country's energy security and development. The event was attended by SECL Director (Personnel) Shri Biranchi Das, Director (Technical/Operations) Shri Ramesh Chandra Mohapatra, and Director (Technical/Projects and Planning) Shri Nripendra Nath, along with representatives from various employee unions, department heads, and officials.

Under Special Campaign 6.0, SECL has established specific targets for cleaning, waste management, and record management. The company aims to clean 225 locations spanning approximately 40 lakh square feet and remove 3,300 metric tonnes of scrap. The primary focus of this campaign is the systematic collection and disposal of e-waste. Additionally, the record management targets include the review of 500 physical files, the removal of 200 physical files, the review of 7,000 e-files, and the closure of 3,000 e-files.
