Union Minister of State B.L. Verma Participates in Shramdaan under 'Swachhata Hi Seva' Campaign in Paharganj
Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment B.L. Verma led a cleanliness drive in Paharganj, New Delhi, under the theme 'One Day, One Hour, Together'.

A Shramdaan activity was organized under the 'Swachhata Hi Seva 2026' campaign on October 1, 2026, at the Mahila Imdad Committee (MIC) located in Paharganj, New Delhi. The program was led by the Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Shri B.L. Verma, and was based on the theme 'One Day, One Hour, Together'.
During the Shramdaan activity, Shri B.L. Verma actively participated and led the cleaning of the premises. On this occasion, he informed the participants about the importance and achievements of the 'Swachh Bharat Mission', a national campaign launched by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on October 2, 2014.
The Minister of State emphasized that public participation is essential for the continuity of the cleanliness campaign and appealed to citizens to make cleanliness a part of their daily lives. He called upon everyone to contribute to keeping their homes, public spaces, and workplaces clean to strengthen the sense of shared responsibility.
Officials from the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, as well as the Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO), also actively participated in the event, cleaning the premises and surrounding areas.
This initiative reflects the Ministry's commitment to the vision of a 'Clean India and Developed India'. The Department of Social Justice and Empowerment clarified that it supports all such initiatives that promote sustainable cleanliness through collective responsibility and public participation.
