Uttar Pradesh Aims for ₹5 Lakh Crore Annual Exports by 2030, Piyush Goyal Emphasizes Global Investment

Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Shri Piyush Goyal, addressed the 'Uttar Pradesh International Trade Fair' held in Greater Noida, where he discussed the growing opportunities for global trade and investment in the state. Shri Goyal stated that as global markets open up for India through Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), opportunities for entrepreneurs in Uttar Pradesh to access international markets will increase. He emphasized that the expansion of exports, investment, and global reach will contribute significantly to achieving the target of making Uttar Pradesh a $1 trillion economy.

The Union Minister noted that due to favorable industrial policies and proactive industrial schemes, Uttar Pradesh has emerged as a preferred investment destination, attracting global investors and major companies across various sectors and creating new employment opportunities. He also highlighted the role of modern technology, international enterprises, and the craftsmanship and technical skills of the youth in the state's development.

Shri Goyal praised the international participation in the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Fair, which includes six partner countries, hundreds of delegates, exhibitors, and buyer-seller meetings. He remarked that such events help bring global recognition to the diverse products, cuisines, and services of Uttar Pradesh.

Speaking on the state's infrastructure, the Union Minister mentioned the development of expressways, modern airports, and industrial parks. He lauded the state's growing presence in high-technology sectors such as defense, semiconductors, and electronics, citing the expansion of a large robotics manufacturing plant in Greater Noida as an example of modern industrial progress.

Regarding export targets, Shri Goyal informed that Uttar Pradesh's current annual exports are approximately ₹2 lakh crore, with a goal to increase this to ₹5 lakh crore by the year 2030. He stated that investment, tourism, and the international recognition being received by products will open new doors for entrepreneurs. Finally, he emphasized the importance of coordination between the central and state governments, as well as the active participation of the business community, youth, and citizens, for the state's economic growth.
