11th Ayurveda Day Celebrated at National Institute of Ayurveda in Jaipur with Free Health Camps
The National Institute of Ayurveda (NIA) promoted health security through public awareness programs and free medical camps to mark the 11th Ayurveda Day.

The National Institute of Ayurveda (NIA), a Deemed University located in Jaipur, organized a series of events to commemorate the 11th Ayurveda Day. The celebrations began with the traditional worship of Lord Dhanvantari, followed by various public awareness, educational, and health-related activities.
Speaking on the occasion, Professor Sanjeev Sharma, Vice Chancellor of the National Institute of Ayurveda, discussed the significance of Ayurveda, stating that it is not merely a medical system but a holistic lifestyle focused on healthy and balanced living. He emphasized the importance of increasing awareness regarding preventive healthcare, proper diet, and healthy daily routines. Professor Sharma further noted that NIA is working to develop the traditional knowledge systems of Ayurveda through modern research and a scientific approach to ensure its benefits reach the general public.
To mark Ayurveda Day, various departments of the institute organized free Ayurveda medical and health awareness camps in Jaipur and other cities. Through these camps, the public was provided with information on Ayurvedic healthcare, healthy lifestyles, dietary routines, and preventive health measures. Additionally, the institute conducted workshops and educational activities, which saw active participation from doctors, faculty members, officials, staff, and students.
Notably, on the occasion of the 11th Ayurveda Day, Vice Chancellor Professor Sanjeev Sharma, along with other doctors from the institute, also participated in a national-level celebration held in Nagpur. The events in Jaipur were attended by Professor P. Hemant, Head of the Department of Shalya Tantra, Mr. JP Sharma, Joint Director (Administration), Mr. Chandrashekhar Sharma, Deputy Director, and other members of the institute.
