The 11th Ayurveda Day will be celebrated across India and worldwide on September 23 by the Ministry of Ayush. The main national event will be hosted in Nagpur, centered around the theme “Ayurveda for a Healthy Future.” The event will see participation from Ayurveda institutes, practitioners, and various stakeholders.
During the program in Nagpur, a first-of-its-kind report on the “Ayush Service Sector” will be launched. This report, prepared by the Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS), presents an assessment of the Ayush service sector. Additionally, safety dossiers on Gokshura (Tribulus terrestris) and Chandrasur (Lepidium sativum), as well as standard treatment guidelines for skin disorders, will be released.
Several other significant publications and digital initiatives will also be unveiled during the event. These include the “From Traditional Knowledge to Global Leadership: Ayush Vision 2030” report, a status report on Ayush-related inventions in India, and the 'AGNI' (Ayurveda Gyan Naipuny Initiative) assessment scale web portal developed by the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS).
The ceremony will feature two special scientific sessions. The first session will be titled “From Satvama to Vishwas - Ayurveda for a Healthy Future and the Path Towards 2047,” while the second session will focus on the topic “Integration of Treatments Essential to Reduce the Burden of NCDs (Non-Communicable Diseases) by 2027.”
Senior officials from the Ministry of Ayush, representatives from various councils, and members of Ayush institutions will attend the event. The primary objective of the celebration is to bring stakeholders of the Ayurveda ecosystem onto a single platform and highlight the importance of evidence, research, and innovation for community wellness.
