8 Years of Ayushman Bharat: PM Modi Praises Achievements of World's Largest Health Scheme

Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the significant achievements of the Ayushman Bharat initiative as it completes eight years. The Prime Minister stated that the scheme was launched with the objective of ensuring that every citizen of the country has access to high-quality and affordable healthcare services.

The Prime Minister informed that the initiative has now become the world's largest health scheme, providing annual health insurance benefits of 5 lakh rupees to more than 60 crore beneficiaries. He mentioned that this initiative has led to record savings in medical expenses, which has directly benefited poor and middle-class families.

Discussing the accessibility of health services, the Prime Minister noted that healthcare is now reaching every household. He stated that over 500 crore people have visited Ayushman Arogya Mandirs so far, which is strengthening the primary healthcare system at the grassroots level. The Prime Minister extended his heartfelt wishes to all the beneficiaries of Ayushman Bharat through a post on the social media platform 'X'.
