All India Institute of Ayurveda Celebrates 11th Ayurveda Day with Public Awareness Rally and Seminar
The New Delhi-based AIIA marked the 11th Ayurveda Day with an awareness rally, an expert seminar, and the release of two significant books.
The All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), New Delhi, an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, celebrated the 11th Ayurveda Day-2026 with various academic and public relations activities on its campus. The institute organized several key programs to mark the occasion.
The celebrations began with an “Ayurveda Public Awareness Rally,” aimed at promoting the principles of Ayurveda among the general public and increasing awareness regarding its role in a healthy lifestyle and holistic healthcare. The rally was led by the Director of AIIA, Prof. (Vaidya) P.K. Prajapati, accompanied by Dean Prof. (Dr.) Manjusha Rajagopala, Prof. (Dr.) Mahesh Vyas, Prof. (Dr.) Ramakant Yadav, Dr. Yogesh Badwe, as well as faculty members, researchers, and staff of the institute.
During the afternoon session, a seminar was organized on the theme “One Health, One Future: Integrating Science through Evidence, Innovations and Holistic Care.” Prof. (Dr.) Ravichandran V., Vice Chancellor of Delhi Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research University (DPSRU), attended as the chief guest. He praised the efforts of AIIA in promoting Ayurveda on a global scale. Additionally, Dr. Vinay Chaudhary, Medical Officer of the Department of Ayush, Government of India, served as a special guest and delivered a lecture on autoimmune disorders within the Ayurvedic medical system.
In his address, the Director of the institute, Prof. (Vaidya) Pradeep Kumar Prajapati, referenced Prime Minister Narendra Modi's ‘One Earth, One Health’ vision, stating that Ayurveda is now moving beyond India's traditional heritage to become a part of the global health discourse. He also announced that the institute has launched a specialized talk show dedicated to Ayurveda titled “Ayurvarta.”
Furthermore, AIIA organized “Ayurprabha 2026,” a six-day workshop on Ayurvedic Dermatology and Cosmetology, and conducted an eye-screening camp for students of the NTPC School. Two books, titled “Tarangini Sara Sangraha” and “Integrative Healthcare for Better Outcomes,” were also released on this occasion.
