Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare to Launch 'Special Campaign 6.0' from October 2
Following guidelines from the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), the agriculture department will launch this campaign to reduce pendency and promote cleanliness in offices.

The Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare is set to organize 'Special Campaign 6' from October 2 to October 31, 2026. This initiative is being launched based on the guidelines issued by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG).
The primary objective of this campaign is to institutionalize cleanliness in government offices, reduce pendency of work, and improve the overall experience for the general public. Additionally, the goals of the campaign include the collection, segregation, and disposal of e-waste generated in government offices in accordance with established rules.
During the previously conducted Special Campaign 5.0, the department carried out extensive cleanliness drives across headquarters, subordinate offices, and public sector undertakings nationwide. These efforts included tree plantation and the cleaning of public spaces. The department placed special emphasis on the disposal of public grievances. In addition to CPGRAMS available for citizens, dedicated portals have been developed for major schemes such as PM-Kisan and the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY). The Union Minister of Agriculture has also reviewed the quality of grievance redressal for farmers through these portals.
Regarding the achievements of Special Campaign 5.0, the department conducted cleanliness drives at a total of 1,133 sites and resolved 1,77,336 pending public grievances. Under record management, 31,722 physical files were reviewed, and 10,597 files were weeded out, freeing up 18,042 square feet of space. A revenue of 40,38,150 rupees was generated during this campaign, and 31 out of 32 pending references from Members of Parliament were resolved.
Special attention was given to e-waste disposal during the campaign, under which agricultural machinery training and testing institutes created models of equipment such as drones, tractors, and cultivators using e-waste materials. These were recognized as best practices in the 'Waste to Wealth' category. Furthermore, the 'Krishi Rakshak Portal' is serving as a one-stop platform for resolving complaints related to PMFBY.
