Researchers from the Institute of Nano Science and Technology (INST) Mohali, an autonomous institute under the Department of Science and Technology, in collaboration with Unilever R&D Bangalore, have made a significant discovery. For the first time, scientists have clarified exactly how preservatives destroy bacteria. Using advanced imaging and chemical analysis, the study investigated how preservatives disrupt bacterial cells from the inside.
