National Postal Week 2026 to be Observed Across the Country from October 9 to 15
The Department of Posts will launch National Postal Week on October 9 to coincide with World Post Day, aiming to promote a modern and citizen-centric postal network.

The Department of Posts (DoP) is set to observe 'National Postal Week 2026' from October 9 to October 15. The celebrations will commence on October 9 on the occasion of 'World Post Day.' The theme for this year's World Post Day is 'World Post Day: One Postal Network, Endless Possibilities.'
The primary objective of National Postal Week 2026 is to showcase the efforts being made by the department to make postal services more convenient, accessible, and responsive to the evolving needs of citizens. In this direction, the department is creating modern and inclusive service centers through initiatives such as 'N-Gen Post Office' and 'Jan Seva Connect Post Office.' Furthermore, digital platforms like the 'Dak Seva App' and 'Dak Mitra App' are being utilized to make services more seamless.
The week-long celebration will feature a special theme for each day:
October 9, 2026 (Friday): Launch along with World Post Day, highlighting the enduring role and universal importance of the postal network.
October 12, 2026 (Monday): To be observed as 'Fun with Philately Day,' promoting the cultural, educational, and historical aspects of stamp collecting.
October 13, 2026 (Tuesday): 'Financial Inclusion and CCS Day' will be celebrated, focusing on the accessibility of financial services to people from diverse geographical and socio-economic backgrounds.
October 14, 2026 (Wednesday): To be observed as 'Mail and Parcel Day,' emphasizing the availability of reliable and efficient parcel services.
October 15, 2026 (Thursday): The festivities will conclude with 'Technology and Innovation Day,' showcasing the technical solutions adopted to improve service delivery.
This event will underline the rich heritage of India Post and its journey toward becoming a modern, technology-enabled network capable of providing excellent and inclusive services to citizens.
