Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh to Launch 'Livestock Insurance Portal' on September 28

The Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying (DAHD) of the Government of India will launch the 'Livestock Insurance Portal' in New Delhi on September 28, 2026. The portal will be inaugurated by Shri Rajiv Ranjan Singh, alias Lalan Singh, the Union Minister for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, and Panchayati Raj.

This portal will serve as an integrated digital platform for livestock insurance. Through this system, the processes for issuing policies for insured animals, claim settlements, monitoring, and reporting under the livestock insurance scheme of the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying will be streamlined.

To ensure convenience and wide accessibility for livestock farmers, the portal will be available in Hindi and English, as well as 11 other regional languages. This will allow farmers to easily access insurance services and necessary information in their local languages.

The primary objective of this digital initiative is to make livestock insurance services more transparent, effective, accessible, and technology-driven. Additionally, it aims to strengthen risk protection for livestock rearers and support the stability of their livelihoods. The portal will facilitate real-time monitoring, data-driven management, and better coordination of insurance programs, thereby improving the service delivery system across the country.
