Department of Fisheries to Promote Good Governance and Cleanliness Through Special Campaign 6.0

The Department of Fisheries, under the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, will actively participate in 'Special Campaign 6.0' from October 2 to October 31, 2026, along with its attached offices and autonomous bodies. This campaign is being organized based on the guidelines issued by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG).

The primary objective of this campaign is to institutionalize cleanliness, reduce the number of pending cases, improve record management, and maximize the utilization of office space. Additionally, it aims to encourage efficient office management through the systematic disposal of waste and e-waste. Building upon the achievements of Special Campaign 5.0 held in October 2025, the department has resolved to further strengthen its cleanliness and administrative reform initiatives.

Special Campaign 6.0 will be implemented in two phases. The first phase, dedicated to preparation, will run from September 15 to September 30, 2026, while the second phase, for implementation, is scheduled from October 2 to October 31, 2026. As part of the preparations, the department's nodal officer held a joint review meeting on September 17, 2026, with representatives from all concerned offices and autonomous bodies.

During this meeting, focus was placed on critical points such as finalizing action plans, setting targets, conducting cleanliness drives, resolving pending cases, and the effective disposal of e-waste. The meeting also emphasized the necessity of robust monitoring and timely reporting to ensure the successful execution of the campaign. Through this initiative, the Department of Fisheries reiterates its commitment to increasing workplace efficiency and fostering a citizen-centric working environment.
