The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology demonstrated advanced technologies such as AI, semiconductors, and digital public infrastructure at the India Mobile Congress 2026 held at the Yashobhoomi complex in New Delhi.

The 10th edition of the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2026 commenced on October 7, 2026, at the Yashobhoomi complex in New Delhi. The event was formally inaugurated by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on October 8, 2026. Running from October 7 to 10, 2026, under the theme "Expansion Without Borders," the event provides a platform for collaboration and innovation in the fields of next-generation connectivity and emerging technologies.
The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has established a dedicated pavilion at the event. This pavilion showcases Digital India initiatives such as digital public infrastructure, citizen services, language technology, data protection, semiconductors, internet infrastructure, and technology entrepreneurship. Information is being provided here regarding digital foundations like Aadhaar, DigiLocker, UMANG, and Entity Locker, which make government services more accessible and secure for citizens.
Several significant demonstrations are being held across various booths in the pavilion. The API Setu booth provides information on interoperability and information exchange within digital systems, while the UX4G team offers guidance on improving user experience through citizen-centric design. The Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) framework booth highlights the importance of the responsible processing of personal data. Additionally, Digital India Bhashini is demonstrating how access to digital content in Indian languages can be facilitated through Artificial Intelligence (AI) and language technologies. Meanwhile, MyGov India has presented a collection of 'Mann Ki Baat' videos.
To highlight technical capabilities, the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) is demonstrating DARPAN S3. Along with this, NIXI, SAMEER, and the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM) are showcasing their capabilities in internet infrastructure and advanced research. The Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) has participated with 14 startups developed under its guidance, providing entrepreneurs an opportunity to present their solutions to investors and industry leaders.
An interactive experience zone has also been created for visitors, where they can create their own AI avatars and experience VR-based cricket. This zone demonstrates the practical applications of AI and deep technologies. Students, entrepreneurs, government officials, and researchers are utilizing the event to observe India's technical capabilities and emerging opportunities.
