Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla Pays Tribute to Former Speaker G.M.C. Balayogi on His Birth Anniversary
Lok Sabha Speaker Shri Om Birla paid tribute to former Lok Sabha Speaker Shri G.M.C. Balayogi on the occasion of his birth anniversary at the Constitution House.

Lok Sabha Speaker Shri Om Birla paid tribute to former Lok Sabha Speaker Shri G.M.C. Balayogi on the occasion of his birth anniversary by offering floral tributes to his portrait in the Central Hall of the Constitution House. On this occasion, Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Shri Harivansh, Members of Parliament, former MPs, and other dignitaries also paid their respects by offering flowers to the portrait of Shri Balayogi.
Among those paying tribute were the Secretary General of the Lok Sabha, Shri Utpal Kumar Singh, and the Secretary General of the Rajya Sabha, Shri P.C. Mody, who both offered floral tributes in the Central Hall of the Constitution House.
Shri G.M.C. Balayogi served as the Speaker of the 12th Lok Sabha and was subsequently re-elected as the Speaker of the 13th Lok Sabha. Shri Om Birla described him as leaving behind an inspiring legacy of parliamentary dignity, impartiality, and democratic values.
The portrait of Shri Balayogi, installed in the outer lobby of the Constitution House, was created by Shri Him Chatterjee. This portrait was unveiled by the then President Shri Pranab Mukherjee on February 10, 2014.
