Minister of State for Law and Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal Releases Commemorative Book on Golden Jubilee of Official Language Section

Minister of State for Law and Justice (Independent Charge) Mr. Arjun Ram Meghwal celebrated the Golden Jubilee of the Official Language Section of the Legislative Department during an event held on October 1, 2026, at Conference Room 24000/H, Kartavya Bhavan-2, New Delhi. On this occasion, he released a commemorative book titled "Golden Journey of the Official Language Section".

The commemorative book provides a detailed account of the 50-year journey, achievements, and significant milestones of the Legislative Department's Official Language Section. The book highlights the section's contribution to the promotion and progressive use of Hindi as the official language within the legislative field. Additionally, it showcases the institutional efforts made to make legislative work citizen-centric and to strengthen the bilingual characteristics of related activities, including legislative drafting.

During the program, Mr. Meghwal congratulated the Secretary of the Legislative Department, Mr. Rajeev Mani, and other officials for completing five decades of dedicated service. He praised the efforts of the Official Language Section in preserving and promoting the rich linguistic heritage. He emphasized that legislative work should be carried out in both Hindi and English with complete accuracy, clarity, and consistency.

Retired officers of the Official Language Section of the Legislative Department also attended the event and were honored by Mr. Arjun Ram Meghwal.
