Ministry of Panchayati Raj Conducts Cleanliness Drive in Preparation for 'Special Campaign 6.0'
The Ministry of Panchayati Raj will implement Special Campaign 6.0 from October 2 to 31, 2026, focusing on office cleanliness and the disposal of pending matters.

The Ministry of Panchayati Raj organized a cleanliness drive prior to the implementation phase of 'Special Campaign 6.0,' which begins on October 2. Organized by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), this special campaign will run from October 2 to October 31, 2026. The primary objectives of the campaign are to institutionalize cleanliness in government offices, reduce the number of pending cases, simplify communication with the public, and ensure the collection and disposal of e-waste in accordance with regulations.
Under this campaign, the Ministry aims to resolve 176 public grievances, 100 public grievance appeals, 9 parliamentary assurances, 15 Member of Parliament references, and 4 state government references. Additionally, the campaign goals include creating extra space by removing scrap materials from office buildings. The Ministry has been actively participating in every version of this special campaign since 2021.
As part of the preparatory phase, various activities were organized from September 15 to September 30, 2026. On September 17, 2026, Dr. Vineet Joshi, Secretary of the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, visited various departments at Jeevan Bharti Bhavan in New Delhi to review the preparations. He encouraged officials and employees to maintain a clean premises to enhance productivity and foster a better workplace environment.
During the preparatory phase, the Ministry identified pending matters related to Members of Parliament, state governments, and the Prime Minister's Office. Furthermore, record management was streamlined, and unusable materials were assessed under e-waste management rules. Data regarding the pending cases has been uploaded to the dedicated portal of the Special Campaign (SCDPM) 6.0.
