Ministry of Steel Launches 'Special Campaign 6' to Clear Pending Cases
The Ministry of Steel and its Central Public Sector Enterprises will conduct Special Campaign (SCDPM) 6 from October 2 to October 31, 2026, to resolve pending matters.

The Ministry of Steel and its Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) are actively participating in the Special Campaign (SCDPM) 6 for the disposal of pending cases, running from October 2 to October 31, 2026. Prior to the implementation phase, a preparatory phase was completed from September 15 to September 30, 2026, during which the Ministry and CPSEs made necessary arrangements and set their targets.
During the implementation phase, which lasts from October 2 to October 31, 2026, the Ministry and its CPSEs will primarily focus on the following activities:
First, as part of the cleanliness drive, a total of 301 sanitation activities will be organized across various offices and locations. Second, efforts will be made to dispose of 20,763 physical files and 9,056 e-files. Third, special attention will be given to resolving 37 pending public grievances to bring the number of pending cases down to zero.
Through this campaign, the time-bound disposal of all pending matters will be ensured, including references received from Members of Parliament, the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), the Cabinet, state governments, and distinguished individuals. Additionally, emphasis will be placed on the disposal of old files, proper records management, and the better utilization of office space.
According to the Ministry of Steel, the objective of SCDPM 6 is to reduce pending cases, ensure the swift disposal of matters, improve services, and create a clean and efficient working environment.
