Nutrition Month: Union Minister Annapurna Devi Appeals to Share Nutritious Food with Anganwadi Children
Union Minister for Women and Child Development Annapurna Devi has suggested that citizens provide nutritious food to Anganwadi children on special occasions such as birthdays and festivals.

Union Minister for Women and Child Development, Smt. Annapurna Devi, has appealed for increased public participation on the occasion of Nutrition Month. She suggested that citizens share nutritious food with children at Anganwadi centers to mark their birthdays, festivals, or any other special occasion.
Smt. Annapurna Devi shared this initiative through a post on the social media platform 'X' (formerly Twitter). She wrote, “Nutrition for children in every joy, public participation in every step. This Nutrition Month, share nutritious food with Anganwadi children on your birthday, festival, or any special occasion. Let us together lay the foundation for a healthy childhood and a strong India.”
This appeal has been made under Nutrition Month 2026 with the objective of ensuring better nutrition and health for children.
