PM Inspires Youth at Golden Jubilee Celebrations of Jaigopal Garodia Hindu School, Calls for 'Viksit Bharat'
On the 50th anniversary of Jaigopal Garodia Hindu School, the Prime Minister urged students to dream big without fear and pledged to make India a developed nation by 2047.

The Prime Minister attended the Golden Jubilee celebrations of Jaigopal Garodia Hindu School in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Addressing the students, teachers, and parents, he inspired the youth to become the driving force behind the vision of 'Viksit Bharat' (Developed India). The Prime Minister stated that the positive energy and innovative ideas with which today's youth are moving forward will determine the future not only of India but of the entire world.
Discussing the journey of the institution, the Prime Minister noted that the Vishwa Hindu Vidya Kendra began in 1975 as a small school in West Mambalam, Chennai, with only seven students. Despite limited resources and the lack of a permanent building, strong determination has turned it into a major educational movement, with 15 institutions now operating in various parts of Tamil Nadu. He remembered the contribution of Shri Jaigopal Garodia for providing significant support in the construction of the school building.
Providing an example of patriotism, the Prime Minister mentioned how students, inspired by the thoughts of Dr. Girija Seshadri Amma, saved one rupee daily to raise approximately 40 lakh rupees for soldiers. He called upon the students to learn from the teachings of the great saint Thiruvalluvar and the fearless life of the great poet Bharatiyar. Encouraging the youth, the Prime Minister urged them to work on their ideas and dream big without fear.
Referring to the changes occurring in the field of education, the Prime Minister mentioned that India had approximately 750 universities in 2014, a number that has now increased to over 1,300. The number of colleges has also risen from 38,000 to over 52,000. He provided information on the impact of the New Education Policy and noted that the number of Indian universities in the QS rankings has increased from 14 to 52.
Speaking on India's growing potential in sports, he mentioned that the country is preparing to host the 2030 Commonwealth Games and is moving forward with the dream of hosting the 2036 Olympics.
At the conclusion of his address, the Prime Minister repeated several major resolutions with the students, including the goal of a Developed India by 2047, becoming a top three economy, achieving Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-reliant India), becoming a global manufacturing hub, hosting the Olympics, and the goal of Indians reaching the Moon.
