Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will attend the centenary celebrations of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on October 1, 2026, at 11:00 AM. On this special occasion, the Prime Minister will also address the gathered assembly.
This event will serve as the culmination of a year-long series of programs that commenced on October 1 of the previous year. These celebrations are being organized to commemorate 100 years since the establishment of the UPSC in 1926.
During the ceremony, the Prime Minister will release the UPSC Centenary Commemorative Coin, a commemorative postage stamp, and a book titled '100 Historic Decisions Shaping the Policies of UPSC and Public Service Commissions in India'.
The event will be attended by chairpersons and members of State Public Service Commissions, senior officials of the Government of India, academicians, UPSC officers, and other relevant stakeholders from across the country.
This main event is part of a two-day program organized by the UPSC on September 30 and October 1, 2026. On the first day of the event, 'Centenary Celebrations - Manthan' will be held at Bharat Mandapam, featuring addresses by eminent speakers and panel discussions on various topics.
