Two-Day Departmental Summit on Women and Child Development Held in New Delhi, Chaired by Union Minister Annapurna Devi
Union Minister Annapurna Devi chaired a summit on women and child development in New Delhi aimed at strengthening coordination between the central and state governments.

Union Minister for Women and Child Development, Smt. Annapurna Devi, presided over a two-day departmental summit on women and child development held in New Delhi. This significant conference saw the participation of Union Minister of State Smt. Savitri Thakur, along with women and child development ministers from various states and senior officials from both central and state governments.
Sharing updates via the social media platform 'X', Smt. Annapurna Devi stated that the summit, held under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will further empower the mutual coordination between the center and the states. She noted that this event would assist in the effective implementation of government initiatives aimed at women's empowerment and the holistic development of children. Detailed discussions during the summit focused primarily on themes such as women's empowerment, child development, nutrition, safety, and welfare.
Providing further details about the summit, Union Minister of State Smt. Savitri Thakur mentioned that the central government is continuously working toward a safe, healthy, and dignified future for women and children. She highlighted that experiences were exchanged between states and union territories on three key subjects: strengthening Anganwadi centers for better nutrition and early childhood education, enhancing safety mechanisms for children living in vulnerable circumstances, and the effective implementation of institutional and legal provisions related to the safety of women.
The Union Minister emphasized that improved coordination between the center and states, combined with the effective implementation of schemes at the grassroots level, would make these efforts more successful for the broader benefit of women and children.
