Department of Pharmaceuticals to Organize Sixth Special Campaign from October 2 to 31, 2026
The Department of Pharmaceuticals under the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers will launch a special campaign to promote a culture of cleanliness and resolve pending tasks.

The Department of Pharmaceuticals, under the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, will conduct the 'Sixth Special Campaign' from October 2 to October 31, 2026. The primary objective of this initiative is to institutionalize a culture of cleanliness within offices and to streamline operations by disposing of pending tasks.
The campaign will see active participation from the National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA), seven National Institutes of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), and the Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Bureau of India (PMBI). Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) including Bengal Chemical and Pharmaceutical Limited (BCPL), Hindustan Antibiotics Limited (HAL), and Karnataka Antibiotics and Pharmaceuticals Limited (KAPL) will also be involved.
The campaign will be executed in two phases. The first 'Preparation Phase' will run from September 15 to September 30, 2026, focusing on the identification of target sites, tracking pending cases, and e-waste mapping. The second 'Implementation Phase' will take place from October 2 to October 31, 2026, covering cleanliness drives, scrap disposal, and grievance redressal activities.
The key focus areas of this special campaign are as follows:
E-waste Management: The safe collection, segregation, and disposal of electronic waste will be carried out in accordance with the provisions of the E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2022.
Grievance and Reference Resolution: Prompt disposal of pending Member of Parliament (MP) references, state government communications, Prime Minister's Office (PMO) references, parliamentary assurances, public grievances, and appeals received via the Centralized Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS).
Regional Office Engagement: Through the active participation of regional offices, PSUs, and National Institutes of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, external cleanliness drives, office beautification, and sustainable development campaigns will be conducted.
According to the Department of Pharmaceuticals, these measures will strengthen the commitment to transparent governance, efficient public service delivery, and sustainable office management.
