Dr. Jitendra Singh Launches New DST and MoST Websites, Scientific Information Now Available in 22 Languages
Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh has launched the redesigned websites of the Department of Science and Technology, making science more accessible and inclusive for citizens.

Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology and Earth Sciences, Dr. Jitendra Singh, has launched the newly redesigned official websites of the Department of Science and Technology (DST). These websites aim to make scientific information accessible, inclusive, and useful for people across the country. Dr. Jitendra Singh stated that the websites are based on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of citizen-centric governance and the principle of "Science by the people, for the people."
The most prominent feature of these new websites is the integration of 'Bhashini', through which information will be available in 22 different languages. This initiative will help increase the reach of scientific knowledge to people from diverse linguistic backgrounds. Additionally, the websites include universal accessibility tools, such as adjustable font sizes, high-contrast display modes, and screen-reader friendly features, ensuring that all citizens can use them with ease.
According to Dr. Jitendra Singh, this platform will be extremely useful for students, researchers, academic institutions, innovators, start-ups, and entrepreneurs. Detailed information regarding DST schemes, research grants, fellowships, scientific programs, and other opportunities will be available on a single platform. Users can now more easily access relevant information such as eligibility criteria, application guidelines, requests for proposals, and official notifications.
From a technical perspective, these websites have been developed in accordance with the Digital Brand Identity Manual (DBIM) 3.0 and the Guidelines for Indian Government Websites and Apps (GIGW) 3.0. They were created through the joint efforts of DST, the National Informatics Centre (NIC), the project management team, and the development agency. For security, SSL/TLS encryption and CERT-In guidelines have been followed, and a Content Delivery Network (CDN) has been integrated to increase loading speeds.
A standardized information structure has been created within these websites, including various divisions, services, documents, and news sections. Dedicated information regarding bilateral and multilateral science and technology cooperation has also been provided for international stakeholders. This redevelopment follows the launch of DBIM 3.0 by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) in March 2025.
