Legislative Department of Ministry of Law and Justice Organizes Expert Lecture on 'Prosperity through Cleanliness'

The Legislative Department of the Ministry of Law and Justice organized an expert lecture on the theme "Prosperity through Cleanliness" on September 24, 2026. This program was part of the 'Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign 2026,' which is being observed from September 17, 2026, to October 2, 2026, in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs and the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation.

The session, held at Kartavya Bhawan-2 in New Delhi, featured Ms. Kulwinder Kaur, Director of Jan Shikshan Sansthan (West Delhi, Peeragarhi), and Mrs. Archana, General Secretary of India-AIDS (NGO, Dwarka, New Delhi), as the guest speakers. Officers and employees of the department participated actively in the event.

During the lecture, the speakers highlighted the importance of hygiene and cleanliness for a healthy and dignified life. They emphasized that cleanliness is a collective responsibility requiring continuous participation and behavioral change at individual, institutional, and community levels. Elaborating on the message of "Prosperity through Cleanliness," the speakers discussed the critical links between sanitation, health, productivity, dignity, and sustainable development.

The objective of the session was to sensitize participants to adopt responsible and sustainable sanitation practices in their workplaces and daily lives. The event provided an opportunity for the department's officers and staff to reiterate their commitment to creating a clean and healthy environment.
