Maharashtra: Elderly Residents of Jai Shri Ram Senior Citizen Home Set Example in Cleanliness Drive

In alignment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision to transform cleanliness into a people-led movement, senior citizens at the 'Jai Shri Ram Senior Citizen Home' located in Kargani, Maharashtra, actively participated in a cleanliness drive. The old age home is operated by the 'Atpadi Taluka Gramin Vikas Sanstha.' The participation of these elderly citizens highlights the importance of 'Jan-Bhagidari' (people's participation) and collective responsibility in keeping communities clean and healthy.

Currently, the 'Swachhata Hi Seva 2026' campaign is being conducted under the theme "Participation in Cleanliness, Clean India, Developed India." The primary objective of this campaign is to ensure the active involvement of citizens, institutions, and communities in sanitation and cleaning tasks. In this context, the senior citizens of Jai Shri Ram Senior Citizen Home demonstrated great enthusiasm by carrying out a cleaning drive around their residence.

Through this initiative, a message has been conveyed that the responsibility of keeping the surroundings clean lies with every section of society.
