PM Modi Distributes Appointment Letters to Over 51,000 Youth at 20th Rozgar Mela, Emphasizes Role of Youth in Developed India

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the 20th Rozgar Mela through video conferencing. On this occasion, he presented appointment letters for government service to more than 51,000 youth across the country. The Prime Minister congratulated the appointed youth and their families, wishing them a bright future.

The Prime Minister stated that these young individuals are joining the Government of India at a time when the country is moving toward the goal of creating a 'Developed India' by 2047. He called upon the new government employees to make decisions that strengthen the campaigns for Developed India and Self-reliant India. Mentioning the expansion of BRICS cooperation, he highlighted initiatives such as 'BRICS CONNECT' and the 'BRICS MSME Cooperation Portal,' designed to ensure that entrepreneurs, farmers, women, and youth can become active participants in this partnership.

Discussing employment and skill development, the Prime Minister noted that India has entered into Free Trade Agreements (FTA) with approximately 40 countries, opening new career possibilities for youth and new markets for entrepreneurs. He referenced efforts such as the National Education Policy, Skill India Mission, and the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana. Additionally, he provided details on the PM-SETU scheme, stating that 1,000 government ITIs are being modernized with an investment of 60 thousand crore rupees, ensuring direct industry participation.

Speaking on the startup ecosystem, PM Modi mentioned that India is the world's third-largest startup ecosystem, with youth from Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities now playing a significant role. To increase employment in the private sector, the government has launched the 'Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana,' with an expenditure of approximately one lakh crore rupees. Through this scheme, about two crore youth will get the opportunity to enter the workforce for the first time, and those securing their first job are being provided an incentive of up to 15 thousand rupees.

Highlighting the country's economic progress, the Prime Minister stated that India's growth rate stood at 7.8 percent in the first quarter of the current financial year, and investment increased by about 12 percent. He urged government employees to accelerate continuous reforms to simplify taxes and compliance, enhance the ease of doing business, and improve the ease of living.

The Prime Minister advised the youth joining the government system to adopt the mantra of 'Nagrik Devo Bhav' (Citizen is God). He remarked that their behavior, sensitivity, and honesty as government employees determine the experience of the citizen. Furthermore, he mentioned the iGOT Karmayogi Platform for skill enhancement, which has already seen over 1 crore 70 lakh government employees join. He specifically mentioned 'Karmayogi Prarambh,' designed for new recruits, stating that they will be able to better serve citizens only by improving themselves.
