Government Extends RoDTEP Scheme Deadline Until December 31, 2026
The Department of Commerce has extended the Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products (RoDTEP) scheme until December 2026.

The Department of Commerce, through notification number 41/2026-27 dated September 30, 2026, has extended the duration of the Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products (RoDTEP) scheme until December 31, 2026.
This scheme will be available for exports made by Domestic Tariff Area (DTA) units, Advance Authorization (AA) holders, Special Economic Zone (SEZ) units, and Export Oriented Units (EOU). Under the RoDTEP scheme, central, state, and local duties, taxes, and cesses incurred on exported products that remained ineligible for reimbursement are refunded. This also includes accumulated indirect taxes from previous stages.
The government has clarified that the current RoDTEP rates and value limits, as notified in Appendix 4R and Appendix 4RE on September 30, 2026, will remain unchanged during this extended period.
According to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, this move reflects the government's commitment to providing support to Indian exporters and ensuring a level playing field against other competitive economies in international markets.
