Government of India to Launch 'Special Campaign 6', Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Begins Preparations
Special Campaign 6 will be conducted from October 2 to October 31, 2026, to ensure cleanliness in government offices, disposal of pending cases, and improved record management.

The Government of India has announced the launch of 'Special Campaign 6'. This campaign will be organized from October 2 to October 31, 2026, with a preparatory phase scheduled from September 15 to September 30, 2026. The primary objective of this initiative is to make cleanliness a regular habit in government offices, resolve pending cases, ensure efficient management of records, manage e-waste, and improve the workplace experience by effectively utilizing available space.
The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) actively participated in the previous 'Special Campaign 5.0'. During that period, the ministry placed special emphasis on cleanliness and the resolution of pending cases within its offices and institutions, conducting more than 1,836 cleanliness drives. The ministry also resolved 3 cases related to Members of Parliament, 7 assurances given in Parliament, 307 public grievances, and 27 associated appeals.
Under record management efforts, 1,250 files were reviewed, leading to the removal of 466 files, while 266 e-files were closed after the review of 658 e-files. These efforts freed up approximately 4,000 square feet of office space and generated revenue of approximately 7.58 lakh rupees through the disposal of scrap.
For the upcoming 'Special Campaign 6', the MSDE has initiated preliminary activities. The ministry is coordinating with nodal officers of its subordinate, autonomous organizations, and regional institutions. Nodal officers are being sensitized toward critical plans such as the disposal of e-waste in accordance with the 'E-Waste Management Rules, 2022' and improved record management. The ministry aims to maintain the momentum of 'Special Campaign 5.0' and make a significant contribution toward the goals of cleanliness and efficient management.
