Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment: Newly Appointed DWBDNC Members to be Sworn In Tomorrow
Sudhansh Pant, Secretary of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, will administer the oath of office and secrecy to the newly appointed members of the DWBDNC in the national capital tomorrow.

Mr. Sudhansh Pant, Secretary of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and Chairman of the Development and Welfare Board for De-notified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Communities (DWBDNC), will administer the oath of office and secrecy to the newly appointed members of the board's governing body, Mr. Narayan Dewasi and Mr. Swaroop Singh Banjara, tomorrow in the national capital.
Mr. Narayan Dewasi and Mr. Swaroop Singh Banjara were appointed by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. The tenure for these members has been fixed for three years from the date of assuming charge, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. According to records, Mr. Swaroop Singh Banjara assumed charge on September 17, 2026, and Mr. Narayan Dewasi assumed charge on September 25, 2026.
The primary objective of the Development and Welfare Board for De-notified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Communities (DWBDNC) is to address problems related to the welfare and development of these communities. The board works to provide support for various initiatives aimed at their socio-economic development and empowerment.
Through this swearing-in ceremony, the newly appointed members will formally begin the discharge of their responsibilities. This will strengthen the governing body of the DWBDNC, helping to further the goals of socio-economic development and empowerment for de-notified, nomadic, and semi-nomadic communities.
