Students are Key Pillars in Building Viksit Bharat 2047; Make Cleanliness a Habit: Pralhad Joshi
Union Education Minister Pralhad Joshi led the 'One Day, One Hour, Together' campaign at Delhi University's Gargi College, calling on students to contribute to cleanliness activities.

Union Education Minister Shri Pralhad Joshi led a Shramdaan and cleanliness drive at Gargi College, Delhi University, as part of the nationwide 'One Day, One Hour, Together' initiative. During the program, he also participated in a plantation drive on the college campus under the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign.
Interacting with the students, Shri Pralhad Joshi stated that cleanliness is directly linked to public health and well-being. He emphasized that collective participation is essential to make cleanliness a continuous habit. He encouraged students to maintain cleanliness not only within educational institutions but also in their homes and public spaces.
The Union Minister called upon students to contribute at least 30 minutes daily to cleanliness-focused activities. He noted that individual efforts can inspire collective action, turning cleanliness into a mass movement.
Discussing the health of the youth, Shri Pralhad Joshi highlighted the importance of physical fitness and outdoor activities. He advised students to participate in sports and spend time on playgrounds to create a healthy balance between screen-based activities and physical activity.
On this occasion, he mentioned Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's vision of a developed India (Viksit Bharat) by the year 2047. He stated that through responsible citizenship and active participation, students play the role of crucial foundation pillars in building a clean, green, and healthy India.
Delhi University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Yogesh Singh, college faculty members, and senior officials from the Ministry of Education were present during the program.
