Amit Shah Addresses Cattle Breeders Conference in Bhopal, Inaugurates Exhibition on New Justice Codes
Union Minister Amit Shah emphasized development plans for the dairy sector for livestock rearers and judicial reforms through the new justice codes during his visit to Bhopal.

Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah addressed a cattle breeders conference held at Dussehra Maidan in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, and inaugurated a state-level exhibition on the new justice codes. The event was attended by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Deputy Chief Ministers Shri Jagdish Devda and Shri Rajendra Shukla, as well as state government ministers, Members of Parliament, and MLAs.
Regarding the new justice codes, Shri Amit Shah stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country has replaced the colonial-era punishment-centric system with a modern system focused on providing justice to citizens. He clarified that the core mantra of the new laws is 'justice' rather than 'punishment.' He explained that the new system incorporates modern technologies such as electronic evidence, online hearings, video conferencing, and forensic science, with the goal of making the judicial process time-bound from the filing of an FIR to the Supreme Court.
Discussing cooperation and the dairy sector, the Union Minister noted that farmers and livestock rearers are benefiting from the establishment of a separate Ministry of Cooperation under the Prime Minister's vision of 'Prosperity through Cooperation.' He revealed that the country's total milk production, which was approximately 14.60 crore tonnes in 2014-15, has now increased to about 24.80 crore tonnes. Additionally, per capita milk availability has risen from 307 grams to 485 grams per day, making India the world's largest milk-producing country.
Mentioning 'White Revolution 2.0,' Shri Amit Shah stated that 75,000 new cooperative dairies will be established across the country and 46,000 existing dairies will be strengthened, which will significantly benefit Madhya Pradesh. He informed that principled agreement has been reached for the Madhya Pradesh government to provide 50 acres of land for the breed improvement of cattle and buffaloes. Furthermore, five models have been developed to promote a cow-dung-based economy to increase farmers' income.
Several important projects were inaugurated or had their foundation stones laid during the program. Shri Amit Shah performed the digital foundation stone laying for a milk processing plant in Ujjain with a capacity of 3 lakh liters per day, costing ₹255 crore. In Bhopal, a finished product dairy plant costing ₹16.5 crore and a state-level central laboratory costing ₹12.42 crore were inaugurated. Additionally, the strengthening work of a mini dairy plant in Shivpuri, costing ₹6.5 crore, was also inaugurated.
On this occasion, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between KRIBHCO and the Madhya Pradesh State Biodiversity Board to develop urban forests under the 'Morvan Project.' During the event, bonuses were distributed to livestock rearers of the Bhopal and Indore Milk Unions, assistance funds were provided to gaushalas, and dividends were distributed to members of milk cooperative societies. Furthermore, 'Gaupalak Didis' were honored, and approval letters were provided under the Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Kamdhenu Scheme.
