Khadi Mahotsav-2026 Launched at Dilli Haat, Showcasing India's Diverse Cultural Heritage Across 115 Stalls
KVIC Chairman Manoj Goyal inaugurated a special Khadi and Village Industries exhibition at Dilli Haat, which will run until October 15.

A distinguished Khadi and Village Industries exhibition has been organized at Dilli Haat, INA, by the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) under the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India. The exhibition was inaugurated by the Chairman of KVIC, Mr. Manoj Goyal, and will continue until October 15, 2026.
A total of 115 stalls have been set up at the exhibition, with 48 stalls dedicated to Khadi products, while the remaining stalls have been allocated to entrepreneurs and artisans associated with village industries and PMEGP (Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme) units. Due to the participation of artisans and Khadi institutions from various parts of the country, the event offers a 'Mini India' experience. The inauguration ceremony was attended by the CEO of KVIC, the Joint Secretary (ARI) of the MSME Ministry, the Financial Advisor of KVIC, and other officials and representatives.
Chief Guest Mr. Manoj Goyal stated that the primary objective of this exhibition is to convey Prime Minister Narendra Modi's message of 'Swadeshi in every home' and the call of the Swadeshi movement to the general public, particularly the Gen-Z youth. He emphasized that Khadi and village industries are not merely mediums for selling products but are stories of self-reliance and the hard work of millions of weavers, artisans, and rural entrepreneurs across the country. He appealed to the residents of Delhi and tourists to prioritize Swadeshi products.
The exhibition showcases the specialties of various regions of India. From South India, products include silk from Karnataka, traditional weaving from Tamil Nadu, Kalamkari from Andhra Pradesh, Ikat from Telangana, and textile craft products from Kerala. From East India, Muslin from West Bengal, silk and Tussar products from Bihar, and the Ikat art of Odisha are featured. Silk and bamboo craft products from Assam are the main attractions from Northeast India. Meanwhile, textile traditions from Gujarat, handicrafts from Rajasthan, woolen products from Himachal, weaving from Uttar Pradesh, rural products from Haryana, and tribal crafts from Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh are being displayed from North and West India.
During an interaction with the media, Mr. Manoj Goyal informed that significant progress has been made in this sector due to the Prime Minister's policies. He revealed that the turnover of the Khadi and village industries sector exceeded 1.87 lakh crore rupees in the financial year 2025-26, providing employment to more than 2.04 crore people. He expressed confidence that the turnover will achieve the target of 2.51 lakh crore rupees in the coming times.
