PM Modi Attends Golden Jubilee of Jai Gopal Garodia Hindu School in Chennai, Calls Upon Youth for 'Viksit Bharat'
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inspired youth to dream big and work towards the goal of a developed India by 2047 during a school's golden jubilee celebrations in Chennai.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi attended the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the Jai Gopal Garodia Hindu Vidyalaya Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. On this occasion, praising the passion and energy of the youth, he stated that today's young generation wants to be the primary force in driving the vision of 'Viksit Bharat' forward. The Prime Minister emphasized that the new ideas and solutions provided by the youth will determine the future not only of India but of the entire world.
Referring to the school's journey of growth, the Prime Minister noted that the World Hindu Vidya Kendra began in 1975 in 'West Mambalam,' Chennai, as a small school with only seven students and limited resources. He praised the willpower of the founders, which has resulted in the institution now having 15 centers across various parts of Tamil Nadu. He recalled the contribution of Shri Jai Gopal Garodia in the construction of the school building and expressed gratitude to all the teachers and staff who made the institution successful.
Discussing the importance of ancient knowledge and culture, the Prime Minister paid tribute to the great saint Thiruvalluvar. He shared that he recently had the opportunity to present a Russian translation of the 'Thirukkural' to Russian President Putin. He encouraged the students to draw inspiration from the philosophy of the great poet Bharatiyar and to adopt his mantra of 'Achamillai, Achamillai' (Fearless, Fearless).
Detailing the changes in the field of education, the Prime Minister stated that the number of universities in the country has increased from 750 in 2014 to more than 1,300 today, and the number of colleges has risen from 38,000 to over 52,000. He mentioned that the number of Indian universities included in the QS rankings has increased from 14 in 2015 to 52 currently.
Observing the inclination of youth toward sports, the Prime Minister said that India is rapidly developing sports infrastructure. He announced that India is preparing to host the 2030 Commonwealth Games and is moving forward with the dream of hosting the 2036 Olympics.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Prime Minister reiterated several major resolutions together with the youth. He called upon the young generation to work with full dedication to achieve the goals of building a developed India by 2047, becoming one of the top three economies in the world, establishing India as a self-reliant global manufacturing hub, hosting the Olympics, and sending an Indian to the moon.
